Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based

Location: Columbia, SC
School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: Part-Time | Hybrid Flexibility Available

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a part-time, school-based contract position in Columbia, South Carolina . This role offers the opportunity to work with students across grades 4K–12 , helping them develop the skills needed to succeed both academically and functionally within the school environment.

With a flexible hybrid component , providers may participate in IEP meetings in person, virtually, or by phone , offering a great balance of collaboration and convenience. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT seeking meaningful work, schedule flexibility, and the chance to make a positive impact on students across a wide range of age groups.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide approximately 330 direct service minutes per wee k to students with occupational therapy goals outlined in their IEPs
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services in accordance with student needs and district guidelines
- Complete all required occupational therapy documentation for IEP development and annual reviews
- Prepare and complete OT sections of student progress reports
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings in person, virtually, or by phone
- Create, submit, and maintain a schedule for OT services provided to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success

Qualifications

- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist license
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage schedules and maintain compliance with district requirements
