Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Maintaining a caseload of clients, establishing rapport, trust, and professional boundaries to facilitate meaningful therapeutic relationships. Conducting regular therapy sessions to assess client progress, stability, and readiness for discharge when appropriate. Developing and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs, with ongoing monitoring to assess effectiveness. Keeping meticulous documentation and progress notes for each client, ensuring compliance with relevant health regulations. Performing initial intake assessments to gather essential information and create a comprehensive understanding of client needs. Engaging in individual supervision sessions aimed at continuous professional development. Regularly collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for clients. Adopting a growth mindset, consistently seeking opportunities for self-improvement and professional development. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with youth and families, addressing a range of mental health challenges that may include anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and various other emotional disturbances. Your expertise in navigating complex dynamics in this age group will allow you to make a significant impact on improving their overall mental health and well-being. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field. Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements for relevant clinical settings. Preferred Experience We prefer candidates who have: A minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatric patients and/or individuals facing substance abuse issues. Extensive experience conducting assessments, providing diagnosis, and delivering individual and group therapy. Diligent computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and billing processes. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 65,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
