As one of the nation's leading nonprofit senior living organizations, we invest in innovative communities, transformative redevelopment, and thoughtfully designed environments that enrich the lives of residents for generations to come.We're seeking an accomplished Vice President of Development, Design & Construction to lead our enterprise-wide capital development strategy and oversee the planning, design, redevelopment, and construction of complex projects across our national portfolio.If you're an executive who thrives on transforming vision into reality, leading multimillion-dollar capital programs, and collaborating with senior executives to shape the future of real estate development, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoLead enterprise capital planning, redevelopment, renovation, and new development initiativesServe as the owner's representative for major capital projects from concept through completionDevelop and execute long-term capital improvement strategies aligned with organizational prioritiesDirect architects, developers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and project management teamsOversee multimillion-dollar capital budgets, project schedules, contract negotiations, and construction administrationGuide master planning, site selection, feasibility studies, zoning, permitting, and entitlement activitiesChampion design excellence, sustainability standards, innovation, and value engineeringPartner closely with the CEO, CFO, Operations leadership, Executive Directors, and cross-functional teams to prioritize investments and maximize returnEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standardsHelp shape the next generation of Lifespace communities through innovative design and strategic developmentWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate Development, or a related fieldMaster's degree preferredArchitectural background is a plus15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale capital development, design, construction, or facilities programsExecutive experience overseeing multimillion-dollar redevelopment or new construction portfoliosExpertise in project management, contract negotiation, budgeting, construction administration, and owner representationStrong knowledge of building systems, codes, regulatory requirements, and capital planningDemonstrated ability to lead diverse teams of architects, engineers, developers, consultants, and contractorsExceptional executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and boardsIdeal BackgroundsSenior LivingHealthcare SystemsCommercial Real Estate DevelopmentHospitalityMixed-Use DevelopmentLarge Campus EnvironmentsHigher EducationInstitutional ConstructionOwner RepresentationIf you're passionate about creating exceptional environments, leading high-performing teams, and delivering transformative capital projects, we encourage you to apply.
