Manager, Career Center, The Mae and George Siller Scholarship Program

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans.

The Manager, Career Center supports the Senior Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of Career Center, programming, and infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of services to scholars and alumni through strong operational processes, program coordination, data management, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Manager serves as a key operational leader within the Career Center and assists in building scalable systems, procedures, and resources that support scholar success and long-term program growth.

Requirements

• Assist the Senior Manager in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Career Center operations, programs, and services.
• Develop and maintain operational processes, workflows, intake procedures, and service standards to support the consistent and effective delivery of Career Center programs and services, including workshops, networking events, mentorship opportunities, and scholar and alumni engagement initiatives.
• Support the management and optimization of Career Center technology platforms, databases, reporting tools, and digital resources.
• Monitor participation, engagement, and outcomes, and assist with reporting, performance metrics, and program assessment.
• Collaborate with Scholarship Administration, Development, Marketing, external employers, and other stakeholders to coordinate Career Center programs and services while developing strong relationships with scholars, alumni, employers, and internal partners and advancing a mission-driven culture focused on student success.
• Coordinate administrative support for Career Center operations, including software subscriptions in partnership with IT, vendor relationships, event logistics, purchasing, and other operational needs, while collaborating with other departments to ensure the successful delivery of Career Center programs and services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience or interest in career services, education, workforce development, counseling, student support services, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of military, veteran, and first responder issues through professional or personal experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to build rapport with scholars, families, employers, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• High level of emotional awareness, professionalism, and discretion when supporting families experiencing loss; committed to maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and 12twenty software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (or equivalent).
• Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.
