Implementation Engineer

Translucent Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Implementation Engineer to join our field services team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing expert on-site installation and upgrade services for data storage platforms to our valued government and commercial customers. This position will primarily support clients within a 200-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN and will also involve regular air travel for assignments across the United States. You will collaborate closely with our support and account teams, as well as directly with customers, to ensure seamless project execution. Responsibilities: Perform on-site installation and upgrade of 1 to 5U equipment. Conduct on-site and remote software setup and upgrades. Document issues and outline next steps for customer and account teams. Provide on-site walkthroughs and educate end-users on new hardware and software functionalities. Coordinate effectively with our internal team to verify availability and schedule jobs. Required Qualifications: Ability to travel multiple times per week throughout the U.S. to customer sites and data centers, including frequent travel within 200 miles of Indianapolis, IN. Knowledge of Linux OS . Knowledge of computer networking principles . Familiarity with server hardware . Experience working in IT . High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: An active DoD Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is a plus, but not required. Current and/or former military experience. Experience working with government agencies. Experience as a System Administrator/System Experience as a Storage Administrator/Storage Data Center or “smart hands” experience.
