In this role, you'll respond to equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and build your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills alongside an experienced maintenance team.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 26.00 / hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredThird Shift (Sunday through Saturday from 09:00pm to 06:00am)Troubleshoot, service, and repair production equipment and facility systems to help minimize downtime.Perform preventive maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments.Assist with equipment installations and relocations, including air, water, and electrical services.Help set up, change over, and fine-tune packaging equipment.Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment to diagnose and complete repairs.Follow lockout/tagout, PPE, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.Complete basic maintenance documentation and assist with other projects as needed.3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.At least one year of industrial maintenance experience; food manufacturing experience is a plus.Hands-on experience with equipment installation, repair, and troubleshooting.Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Familiarity with motors, sensors, relays, conveyors, ovens, mixers, or packaging equipment.Ability to use tools such as multimeters, continuity testers, and clamp meters.Basic computer skills for maintenance records and email.Ability to work 10-hour shifts and required overtime during peak periods.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
