Program Aide

Job Posting The Stein Adult Day Programs serve individuals with developmental disabilities to teach them basic life skills by supervising them on daily outings and activities. The work environment is challenging but rewarding. We are a caring organization with room for advancement. We have Adult Day Programs in Chula Vista, La Mesa, Kearny Mesa, and San Diego. Position The Adult Day Program Aide is responsible for the delivery of direct services of consumers and staff of the Adult Education Program. The Adult Day Program Aide assists clients in building basic living skills through community-based activities, such as using public transportation, making purchases, and working at a vocational site. Key duties include: Implementation of behavioral programs. Implementation of instructional programs. Implementing assigned consumer schedules daily. Maintaining consumer program books. Completion of maintenance duties. Assisting clients with various disabilities with their toileting needs. Completion of consumer/program paperwork. Job coaching duties. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Ability to work with a culturally diverse population. Pass a criminal background check, TB, and drug test requirements. Ability to move quickly, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted. Driver's License with a 2-year clean record is a big help but not required. Hours Work hours are Mon-Fri (Mon/Wed/Fri from 8AM - 2PM) (Tue/Thu 8AM-3:15PM) a total of 32.5 hours per week. Pay Position starts at $18.00 per hour. Applicants with directly related experience and/or education may begin at a higher rate of pay. Current Vista Hill employees in this job title for 2025 are paid $18.00 - $23.00 per hour. Benefits Employees working over 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution, and clinical supervision (if applicable). Some programs qualify for student loan forgiveness programs. Employees who work less than 30 hours a week do not qualify for healthcare benefits. About Us Vista Hill is all about serving people.
