Position Summary The Associate Data Analyst is a member of Banner Engineering's Data Team, supporting the organization's business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives. This role develops analytical solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen data quality, and help ensure business data is accurate, accessible, and trusted across the organization. The Associate Data Analyst will work on a variety of business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives while partnering with stakeholders throughout the organization to develop meaningful, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Analytics Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence applications and dashboards using Qlik to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into analytical solutions. Develop and maintain data models, visualizations, and reporting solutions that improve the accessibility and usability of enterprise data. Develop and enhance automated data quality processes that improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data. Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to implement long-term solutions. Support data governance initiatives through documentation, business glossaries, data definitions, and enterprise data standards. Support Banner's ePlan data portal, including user support, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements. Develop SQL queries to support ad hoc reporting, data validation, troubleshooting, and business requests. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, business processes, and data management practices across the organization. Contribute to a collaborative Data Team environment by sharing knowledge, documenting processes, and supporting team initiatives. What You Bring to the Table To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 1–3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data quality, data management, or a related field, including relevant internship or co-op experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. Basic experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases. Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies, understand business processes, explore data, and continuously learn new technologies and analytical techniques Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Experience developing business intelligence applications or dashboards using Qlik. Experience with enterprise data quality or data management concepts. Experience working with ERP systems or enterprise business data. Familiarity with data governance concepts, business glossaries, or metadata management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
