PROCEDURES

- Microscopic specimen evaluation
- Management of vascular access devises/central venous catheters
- Familiarity with intravenous medications
- Central line placement
- Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations and follow-up care
- Cover new consults from 8am to 5pm
- Round on assigned inpatients both for consult and primary service
- Hand off new consults to Fredericksburg on-call provider at end of shift
- Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
