Personal Injury Attorney

Our client, a well-respected law firm, is seeking a motivated attorney to join their growing personal injury team. This role will focus on intake, client engagement, and case development prior to litigation. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity located in Norfolk, VA. Key Responsibilities Meet with potential clients to review personal injury matters Evaluate records including medical files, police reports, and witness statements Assess liability and potential outcomes for new cases Communicate with insurance companies and opposing counsel on behalf of clients Review settlement offers, provide recommendations, and negotiate fair outcomes Work to secure compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages Draft demand letters and settlement correspondence Compile and maintain evidence and case files Calculate damages and prepare financial documentation Serve as the main point of contact during intake and pre‑litigation stages Clearly explain legal processes, timelines, and expectations to clients Stay current on personal injury case law and best practices Develop case strategies tailored to individual client needs Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, medical providers, and expert witnesses Ensure all deadlines and legal requirements are met Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in Virginia Experience or strong interest in personal injury law (2-3+ years) Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Coastal Management Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
