Scheduler

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire

Worksite: 6445 Main St., Houston, TX 77030

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and dependable Scheduler to support a large healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with patient access and surgery scheduling experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments and procedures primarily by phone in a call center environment.
Manage approximately 30-40 patient encounters per week , including various appointment types and follow-up scheduling.
Coordinate surgery and procedure scheduling while ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
Work in an outpatient center within an administrative setting.
Provide professional and courteous service to patients while addressing scheduling needs.
Accurately document patient and appointment information in the electronic medical record.
Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable healthcare policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of patient access and surgery scheduling experience required.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Comfortable handling multiple scheduling tasks and patient interactions.
