Instructional Designer

Job Title: Instructional Designer Location: Vienna, VA Type: Contract Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Responsibilities Develop engaging and effective instructional materials including eLearning modules, virtual instructor‑led training, job aids, and performance support tools. Conduct needs analyses to identify learning requirements and develop performance‑based solutions. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design content that meets organizational goals. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards. Ensure all training materials adhere to accessibility best practices and visual design fundamentals. Utilize Articulate Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, and Microsoft Office Suite to develop content. Incorporate AI‑assisted content development to enhance learning materials. Maintain strong writing, editing, and communication skills to ensure clarity and effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, or a related field. 1+ year of instructional design experience. Proficient with Articulate Rise and Storyline. Experience conducting needs analyses and developing performance‑based learning solutions. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Experience partnering with SMEs and business stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Technical skills in Articulate Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, visual design fundamentals, accessibility best practices, and AI‑assisted content development.
