First Party Property Attorney

Houston, TX $140,000 - $200,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled First-Party Property Litigation Attorney to join our growing Houston office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 3+ years of first-party property insurance litigation experience who wants to handle meaningful, high-impact cases while being supported by one of the largest plaintiff-focused property damage practices in the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of first-party property insurance cases from inception through resolution
• Handle claims involving hurricane, wind, hail, fire, water, roof, and other property losses
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Work closely with clients, public adjusters, experts, and damage consultants
• Collaborate with a team of experienced property litigation attorneys on case strategy

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar license
• 3+ years of first-party property litigation experience
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management skills
• Experience handling insurance coverage disputes and property damage claims
• Trial experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
