Job Description Title: Direct Care Worker - Up to $17/hr - Weekly Compensation! Location: Newton, NJ 07860 Date Posted: 9/10/2024 Category: Direct Care Services Class: Direct Care Support Type: CONTRACT Compensation: Up to $17/hr, processed weekly. Available Hours Saturday 3pm-9am Sunday 3pm-11pm Summary of Responsibilities Provide support that will enhance individuals' quality of life. Implement specialized programs in communication, socialization, and behavior management. Assist with and teach independent living skills. Assist with activities of daily living and personal self-care such as toileting, eating, grooming, bathing, and dressing. Accompany participants to various community activities. Maintain cleanliness of homes and ensure a healthy living environment for participants. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year experience working with at-risk adults. Minimum of one (1) year experience working with youth. Experience driving a van. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to complete and pass background checks satisfactorily. Knowledge of preventing abuse and neglect, medication training, CPR/FA, TB/Physical.
