Body Shop Assistant Manager / Collision Center Assistant Manager
Join Our Growing Team! Hertrich Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled and motivated Body Shop Assistant Manager to join our expanding team. For over three generations, the Hertrich Family of Dealerships has been dedicated to the communities we serve, supporting over 90 local organizations and charities. Representing 24 dealerships, 14 collision centers, and 19 automotive brands across the Delmarva Peninsula, we pride ourselves on our dynamic and entrepreneurial culture. Job Responsibilities:
Greet all customers with professionalism and courtesy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, fleet providers, and manufacturers.
Perform vehicle damage assessments and create detailed repair cost estimates.
Prepare accurate damage reports efficiently.
Assist in managing shop production costs and workflow.
Collaborate with the General Manager on daily tasks and dispatches using computerized systems.
Provide support and assistance to employees as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Collision Center or Auto Body Shop (preferred).
Prior automotive body shop estimating or insurance adjusting experience is required.
Strong understanding of the collision repair process.
Ability to handle high volumes and work under pressure.
Experience maintaining a fast-paced workflow in a collision shop.
Proficiency with collision management software (preferred).
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
