Carpenter's Assistant

Join our dynamic team as a Carpenter’s Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled carpenters on various construction projects. Responsibilities Assist carpenters by holding and securing lumber during the building process, ensuring it is level or plumb during installation. Help with building forms for pouring concrete. Prepare work areas by transporting necessary tools and equipment from storage facilities. Load and unload building materials for construction projects. Build and disassemble scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures used on construction sites. Remove debris and potential hazards to keep construction sites clean and safe. Dig trenches and holes required for construction projects. Maintain and service machines as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and carpenters. Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures. Ability to perform basic math. No previous experience necessary; on-the-job training provided. Must be at least 18 years old. Physically able to perform assigned tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for prolonged periods.
