Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment, delivering quality patient care while managing multiple priorities. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations in a 24/7 emergency department.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications, IVs, and perform procedures such as EKGs, wound care, and conscious sedation.
• Monitor patient status using GE monitors and document findings accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology techs, and security staff to coordinate patient care.
• Float between ED departments as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1-year current acute care ED experience.
• Demonstrate certification in BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH, and PALS.
• Possess experience in emergency department procedures and patient management.
• Show the ability to work mid-shift and night shifts effectively.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, flexibility, and strong team collaboration skills.
