Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in a 20-bed Neuro ICU at a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vasopressin
• Care for patients with complex neurological diagnoses including stroke, head bleeds, EVD/ventriculostomy management, dialysis, and neuro disorders requiring critical care
• Collaborate with in-house intensivists, 24/7 APP coverage, and respiratory therapy to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS) and adhere to unit-specific protocols
• Participate in preference-based and block scheduling, including required weekend, Friday, Monday, and holiday shifts as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Hands-on ICU and critical care experience
• Experience titrating drips in a critical care setting
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted for review and approval
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro ICU or neurocritical care setting
• Familiarity with EVD/ventriculostomy management and neuro-specific patient populations
• Experience working alongside respiratory therapy with ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula
