Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security‑related incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and professionalism while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people‑first culture. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour Job Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns. Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the location, verifying access permissions and following post orders for restricted or controlled areas. Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance when needed, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding security‑related issues and/or incidents. Minimum Requirements A TSA‑issued TWIC is required. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
