Position Description

As a Painter l you will be responsible for performing commercial painting work with minimal supervision, applying approved coatings and finishes in accordance with project specifications and company standards. This role requires experience with commercial painting products, the ability to follow work plans and prints in some capacity, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Comply with all company and safety policies, rules, and procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate behavior that is representative of the company's core values.
• Perform commercial painting tasks using appropriate products, tools, and application techniques.
• Read, understand, and execute work plans and prints as applicable to assigned tasks.
• Select and apply proper coatings based on specifications, surface conditions, and environmental factors.
• Safely and efficiently operate lifts and access equipment in accordance with training and safety requirements.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, sanding, patching, and minor repairs as required.
• Maintain, organize, and properly utilize all tools, equipment, and materials.
• Perform assigned work with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Produce quality finished work within acceptable time frames while minimizing rework.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress and jobsite needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support paint department operations.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience:

• 3-5 years of painting experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Satisfactory knowledge of commercial painting products, coatings, and appropriate application methods.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute work plans and prints in some capacity.
• Experience operating lifts is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may involve standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching for extended periods.
• Work may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling tools, materials, or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work may require working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Work may require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, eye protection, hard hats, safety footwear, and high-visibility apparel, etc.
• Work may involve repetitive use of hands and arms for operating painting tools, equipment, and controls.

Work may involve working at elevated heights, including the use of ladders, MEWP's, etc.
