Center Teacher

USD Head Start is excited to welcome a dedicated and passionate Center Teacher to our preschool team in Vermillion. In this role, you’ll guide and inspire a classroom of 16 children ages 3–5, helping them build the social, emotional, and early academic foundations that shape lifelong learning. Responsibilities Full‑time, 40 hours per week Lead a preschool classroom of 16 children Create a warm, engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment Guide and inspire a classroom of 16 children ages 3–5, fostering social, emotional and early academic foundations Engage and supervise children ages 3-5 in multiple learning environments, including indoor and outdoor settings Qualifications BA in Early Childhood Education or BA in Education with Early Childhood Endorsement or BA in Special Education with Early Childhood specialization Experience working with young children Benefits Paid annual and sick leave Paid holidays Matching contributions to the South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS) Equal Employment Opportunity Statement USD is committed to fostering a dynamic and welcoming working and learning environment for all.
