And with competitive compensation and total rewards, you'll also enjoy our great perks.As a Planner/Buyer, you will plan material requirements and execute purchase orders for complex assemblies, balancing inventory levels with customer delivery commitments.What you'll do:Collaborate with Maintenance, and Operations teams to understand aircraft maintenance requirementsReview work orders, maintenance schedules, and material requestsIdentify parts requirements, shortages, and replenishment needsAnalyze inventory levels and forecast material demandTranslate maintenance requirements into actionable procurement and planning activitiesCreate, issue, and manage purchase orders for aircraft parts, materials, and servicesCoordinate with approved vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveryMonitor order status and expedite critical or delayed shipmentsEnsure procurement activities align with budgetary and operational requirementsMaintain accurate purchasing records within ERP/MRO systemsSupport inventory optimization initiativesTrack vendor lead times and adjust planning strategies accordinglyEnsure proper stock rotation and material availability for scheduled maintenanceCommunicate regularly with internal departments including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and LogisticsMaintain strong relationships with external suppliers and distributorsEvaluate supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and reliabilitySupport sourcing of alternative suppliers when necessaryRespond to Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) and other urgent material requirementsIdentify and secure expedited sourcing solutions to minimize aircraft downtimeCoordinate emergency logistics and alternative procurement optionsCommunicate status updates to relevant stakeholders in real timeEnsure all procurement and planning activities comply with FAA regulations and company quality standardsMaintain accurate and audit-ready documentation in ERP/MRO systemsSupport internal and external audits as requiredFollow established procedures for controlled and traceable materialsOn-time availability of required parts and materialsReduction in aircraft downtime due to material delaysInventory accuracy and optimizationCost control and purchasing efficiencySupplier performance and reliabilityCompliance with regulatory and internal standardsPosition Requirements:At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles Experience working with ERP or MRO systemsStrong understanding of inventory management and procurement processesStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to respond effectively under pressure, including urgent AOG situationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systemMust be authorized to work in the USMust be available to work Tuesday - SaturdayPay will range from $25.61 -$38.42 and will depend on experiencePreferred Characteristics:Aviation of MRO experience strongly preferredKnowledge of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance environments (preferred)Benefits that make life better:Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunities #BIZAV#LI-RC1Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
