Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; no call

Highlights:

• Contract length: 13-26 weeks available
• Patient population includes orthopedic trauma, neurological trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and general surgery overflow
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and physical therapy
• Orientation includes 12 hours of unit-specific training plus 16 hours of organizational education

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Ortho/Neuro/Trauma experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 patients
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to similar units and alternate care locations
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
