Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility, located in Bedford, TX 76021. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Duration : Contract
• Pay: $20 - $23/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
• Shift : Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.

Specific Duties:

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Obtain vitals and document patient information in EMR.
• Perform EKGs, venipuncture, specimen collection, and medication administration.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, cultures, and staple removal.
• Operate and perform quality checks on diagnostic equipment.
• Clean, stock, and sterilize medical equipment using an autoclave.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and safety procedures.
• Support physicians with patient care and coordination.
• Provide professional patient communication and customer service.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience required.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or RMA is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
