Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a contract paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 academic year, supporting students across several school sites in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. This role is ideal for dedicated candidates ready to foster inclusive learning environments and make a meaningful impact in specialized support classrooms. Assignments and classroom locations are determined based on district needs, with candidate preferences considered when possible. Daily hours range from 32.5 up to 35 per week, following the assigned school calendar.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in school or special education settings.
• Must reside within 35 minutes of Lehigh County school locations.
• Availability aligns with standard school day schedules (start times may vary by assignment).
• Meet Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements:
  • Completion of 48+ college credits, or
  • Associate degree or higher, or
  • Child Development Associate credential or PA Credential of Competency (willingness to complete certification within 60 days if not yet held).

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse learning needs, including Multiple Disabilities, Autism, and Emotional Support.
• Assist with classroom routines, instruction, and behavioral interventions (which may involve physical activities such as running, lifting, and personal care).
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and families.
• Maintain punctuality and responsiveness during the school day.
• Adapt to evolving student needs and classroom assignments as required.
