Make a meaningful impact during the 2026–2027 school year by supporting students’ growth as a valued paraprofessional. Eleven contract positions are available throughout Lehigh and Carbon Counties, with roles beginning August 10, 2026 and regular school schedules resuming in late August. Assignments are matched to district needs, with your preferences considered when possible, and specific locations mapped to ensure an easy commute within 35 minutes. Paraprofessional support is vital, including positions in Multiple Disabilities Support, Enhanced Autistic Support Programs, and Emotional Support classrooms across both elementary and high school settings.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of paraprofessional experience in schools, ideally special education
- Ability and willingness to assist with behavioral support, personal care, lifting, and toileting as needed
- Must reside within a 35-minute commute of placement site
- Availability for school schedule (start as early as 7:00 AM, end as late as 3:30 PM)
- Meets Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements:
- Two years of post-secondary education (48 college credits) OR
- Associate degree or higher OR
- Passing of a state/local assessment (see information below)
- If not already certified, must be willing to complete the seven-module paraprofessional certification within 60 days of hire

- Follow educator and specialist guidance in both academic and behavioral support
- Supervise and assist students throughout the school day, always prioritizing safety
- Support inclusion for students with a range of special needs
