Our challenge

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Java Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Flowable BPM.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Cleveland, OH is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Develop and integrate workflow/process automation solutions using Camunda BPM or Flowable BPM.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party/internal systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with root cause analysis.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, design discussions, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Leads, Architects, DevOps and QA teams for smooth release management and deployment automation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and frameworks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with, Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture and REST API development
• Experience with BPM/workflow automation using Flowable BPM
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate / JPA, SQL / NoSQL databases, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Experience with API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker patterns, and distributed systems concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and secure coding.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in Java, Spring, Flowable, or cloud technologies
• Experience in domains such as Banking and payments.
• Knowledge of container orchestration, workflow optimization, and process automation strategies
