Job Description
This role supports daily production operations by safely handling materials, assisting with site preparation, and performing a variety of general labor tasks. You will work closely with team members and skilled tradespeople to ensure efficient workflows, maintain a clean and organized work area, and contribute to a safe and productive environment. Must be ok with lifting 50+ lbs.
Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist with site preparation, including setting up work areas, staging materials, and assembling basic equipment.
• Support daily setup and cleanup activities to ensure production areas remain orderly and ready for use.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively as directed.
• Follow instructions from team members and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Support production and assembly tasks as needed to keep workflows running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety practices.
• Identify basic issues or obstacles in the work process and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while handling materials and operating tools.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, assembly, general production, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or landscaping is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required by the role.
• Proficiency in material handling, including moving, loading, and organizing materials and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with others on-site.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Basic problem-solving skills to address routine issues and support continuous workflow.
• Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and correctly.
• Reliability and willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive environment such as warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or landscaping is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced production setting with changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and follow guidance from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
• Attention to detail when handling materials, tools, and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
