Urologist Opportunity at Ascension Providence

Ascension Providence is looking to add a Urologist to our busy practice in Waco, Texas. Waco has been recognized as the "Heart of Texas," and is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin with scores of shops and restaurants galore along with excellent parks, a supportive business environment, a low crime rate, diverse housing options, and top-ranked schools. Ascension Urology providers have enjoyed full patient panels. Sharing the same building is a thriving Womens Health/OBGYN practice, Outpatient Surgery Center, Sleep Clinic, ENT, and Lab.

Position Details:

• See approximately 16-22 patients per day

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:
