HyCO Environmental Manager

Environmental Manager – US HyCO (Hydrogen & Syngas) Operations Air Products is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to serve as the environmental leader for our US HyCO (Hydrogen & Syngas) operations . In this highly visible role, you will set and drive environmental strategy, governance, and performance while ensuring full compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Reporting directly to the Regional HyCO Vice President & General Manager, this role provides the opportunity to influence environmental outcomes at a strategic level while supporting the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of critical industrial assets. Typical travel will be approximately 25%, with periods of increased travel up to 50% based on site needs and business priorities. Additional Job Responsibilities Lead and drive environmental strategy aligned with Air Products’ EHS Management System, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives. Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and Air Products standards, with a goal of zero environmental incidents. Serve as the primary environmental authority for US HyCO operations, leading complex regulatory interactions with local, state, and federal agencies. Provide environmental leadership through training, site assessments, incident investigations, audits, and performance reviews. Develop and implement environmental risk management plans and KPI reporting across the HyCO sub‑region. Lead environmental incident trend analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and external EHS reviews. Coach and mentor site leaders, operations teams, and environmental professionals; develop high‑potential talent within the organization. Support environmental due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
