A healthcare facility on the California Central Coast is seeking four experienced pharmacists to fill immediate travel positions focused on inpatient pharmacy services. These roles involve working in a fast-paced hospital setting, providing essential pharmaceutical care that supports patient treatment and safety.

Position Details:

• Location: San Luis Obispo, CA area
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks or more
• Immediate start available
• Two positions available for day shifts (4 ten-hour days per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Two positions available for night shifts (7 days on, 7 days off, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
• Provide pharmacokinetics services and clinical consultations
• Utilize pharmacy information systems such as Cerner and Omnicell

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Schedule:

• Day shift pharmacist: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Night shift pharmacist: 7 days on, 7 days off, 12.5-hour overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
