Position Title: Operations Associate Location: Bronx, NY 10453
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $45 per hour Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic Operations Associate supports the daily functions of the main office to ensure smooth school operations and a welcoming environment for students, staff, and families. This position plays an essential role in maintaining communication with parents, overseeing lunchroom coverage, coordinating logistics for schoolwide events, and ensuring that office and staff lounge supplies are well-maintained and stocked. The Operations Associate must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Essential Responsibilities
Front Office Support

• Answer phone calls from parents and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
• Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student or staff information.
• Translate messages and documents for parents as needed (Spanish/English).

Lunch Coverage

• Supervise and support student lunch periods, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
• Coordinate with operations staff to monitor lunch schedules and student movement.
• Assist in collecting and recording student meal counts daily.
• Report any concerns or incidents during lunch coverage to the Director of Operations.
• Supports the Operations Manager in ensuring that parents complete forms to determine Free, Reduced, or Full Price Status for meals and communicates the percentages to the Director of Operations.
• Ensures compliance with Department of Health standards as they pertain to food service

Inventory and Facilities Support

• Maintain an organized and fully stocked staff lounge and supply closet.
• Track and restock supplies as needed; notify the Director of Operations of low inventory.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and functionality in the lounge and office spaces.
• Support the planning and logistics of schoolwide events, ensuring smooth setup, coordination, and cleanup.

Administrative Support

• Support student meal program compliance by ensuring meal count records are accurate.
• Assist with copying, filing, and distributing school materials as needed.
• Support the Director of Operations with additional administrative or logistical tasks as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Food Handler's Certificate
