Furnace Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Title: Furnace Operator Wage: $18.00 per hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 11:00pm-7:00am QPS Employment Group has a great Furnace Operator position available at a company in Elkhorn, WI. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Furnace Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Read and follow detailed work instructions and operation procedures. Operate furnaces according to specific process requirements including temperature flow rates timing and carbon settings. Load and unload parts carefully to avoid jams or damage. Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the process. Perform and document preventive maintenance as scheduled. Train and support new operators when needed. Apply basic metallurgy knowledge to ensure correct treatment for each material type. Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and filed. Maintain zero defects and ensure all paperwork is completed properly. Operate within correct parameters for temperature flow time and carbon settings. Prevent load jams and avoid any safety incidents such as explosions. Prevent damage to equipment or customer parts. Deliver efficient safe and defect free operations. Produce quality heat treated parts. Understand the behavior and treatment needs of various materials during heat processing. Furnace Operator Requirements: Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and internal safety protocols. Comply with forklift operation standards and quality system instructions. Adhere to established quality and operational procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Self-motivated and driven. Strong work ethic and sense of urgency. Level headed in fast paced or high-pressure situations. Good time management skills. Ability to retain technical training and apply knowledge effectively.
