Senior Project Developer

Salary: $92,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Four-year college degree.
• At least five years of renewable energy industry development experience.
• Knowledge of regional environmental and site permitting processes.
• Demonstrated success managing utility-scale projects and negotiating renewable energy contracts.
• Knowledge of renewable energy industry regulatory and legislative frameworks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead cross-functional, dynamic project teams in a matrix organization.
• Utility-scale solar or wind development experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with federal projects and tribal nations is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar software is preferred.
• Willingness to travel more than 25% of the time.

• Develop and manage overall project strategies and plans.
• Manage project schedules, critical paths, and key issues, and report on progress.
• Acquire project sites, including negotiating leases with landowners.
• Coordinate local, state, and federal permitting.
• Coordinate environmental and wildlife studies.
• Develop and manage public relations plans for projects.
• Prepare, manage, and track project budgets and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate project interconnection processes.
• Help identify and screen potential project opportunities.
• Coordinate preliminary project designs and pro forma financial models.
• Support negotiations of power purchase and asset sale agreements.
• Keep project teams informed about relevant local and state regulatory or legislative matters.
• Lead cross-functional project teams made up of internal staff and external consultants across disciplines such as engineering, meteorology, resource assessment, permitting, environmental studies, real estate and title, and transmission.
