Middle College Coordinator

Title Middle College Coordinator Reports To VB Tech Administration Location of Work VB Tech 250 South Street Lawrence, MI 49064 Job Goals The primary functions of the Coordinator for Middle College and CTE are to a) provide day‑to‑day operational integrity for the Van Buren Middle College program, and b) serve as the liaison with external partners in the development and maintenance of all necessary agreements for CTE and post‑secondary programming. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Work Experience: Program planning, development and administration Federal and State grant applications, administration and reporting Data collection, analysis and interpretation, including outcome studies Student leadership and cultural competency development Staff supervision Excellent organizational and time management skills Project oversight and management while also meeting mandatory timelines Successful work experience with secondary and post‑secondary students and institutions Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge of Career & Technical Education & Michigan Merit Curriculum requirements Knowledge of post‑secondary alignment, the Michigan Transfer Network and the Reverse Transfer process Possess good interpersonal and communication skills Ability and desire to work successfully with diverse groups of students, families and LEA/College stakeholders Strong computer skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases including PowerSchool, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, student information/grading systems Essential Job Functions Oversee the recruitment, admission and scheduling procedures for the Van Buren Middle College program. Provide direction and supervision to Middle College staff. Deliver college readiness courses to Middle College and/or dual enrollment students. Collaborate with Van Buren Tech and local district administration, counselors and professional staff to ensure Middle College students follow the career pathway of courses that will satisfy federal and state CTE and high school graduation requirements. Facilitate VB Tech/Middle College state reporting, in partnership with LEAs; via MSDS, CEPI, TSDL, etc. Serve as liaison between the Middle College, local school districts, post‑secondary partners and community stakeholders. Develop and implement marketing and community relations strategies specific to the Middle College program. Develop a program‑specific budget and keep record of accounts. Attend state‑sponsored Middle College professional development, events, and conferences as needed. Collect, evaluate, interpret, organize and manage data from the Middle College Program and provide detailed reports/presentations. Provide feedback to the Director specific to Section 61b/MC grant. Adhere to Van Buren ISD policies and procedures. Perform additional tasks, responsibilities and duties as assigned by Van Buren Tech Administration. Valid driver's license required. Terms of Employment As per master agreement and provisions established by the Van Buren Board of Education. Position Type Regular Job Requirements At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
