Cable Technician

Cable TechnicianWe are seeking a Cable Technician to become an integral part of our team supporting our government customers across the US. You will design and configure data communication systems, install wireless access points as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. This position will be based out of the DC/MD/VA region but will travel frequently throughout the country.Responsibilities:Supervise installation and maintenance of APs.Pull and terminate cat 5/cat 6 cables throughout a sizeable environment.Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions.Follow the direction of the Tech III and IVs.Order and maintain inventory stock suppliesRequirements:Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fieldsFamiliarity with telecommunications equipmentStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to Travel often.Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (clearance not required prior to hire).Benefits:Base pay is flexible depending on experience but the target range is $20-$30/hr.100% Employer paid health insurance for employee, 25% for dependents.401kPTOColossal Contracting, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) who takes pride in supporting our CUSTOMERS and COUNTRY.
