Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational TherapistAssist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independenceMonitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational TherapistDocument treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timelyAssist with discharge planning and caregiver educationMaintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environmentCollaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and familiesParticipate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriateFollow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standardsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programExperience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferredExperience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferredAbility to quickly learn facility software and documentation systemsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsLicenses & CertificationsCurrent Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South CarolinaMust maintain all required continuing education requirementsMust remain in good standing with the applicable State BoardWe are an equal opportunity employer.
