Occupational Therapist School Setting in Napa, CA

Serving districts in the Fairfield and Vacaville areas just outside Napa, CA, you'll play a crucial role supporting children and youth as they work toward greater independence and success within the educational environment.


Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT licensure in California
• Previous pediatric, school-based, or educational occupational therapy experience highly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Exceptional communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
• Strong organization, time management, and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students referred for OT services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to each student's needs in alignment with their IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other specialists to promote inclusive practices and facilitate student participation
• Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and communication in accordance with district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodation and support
• Educate school staff and families on best practices for student success inside and outside the classroom
