Assistant Property Manager BG Staffing | Boston, MA 02121 $24.00 per Hour | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a 30-day temporary assignment with a well-established affordable housing community in Boston, MA 02121 . This assignment has the potential to be extended based on business needs and performance. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with prior affordable housing experience, specifically with Tax Credit properties and HUD Project-Based Section 8 programs . The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting daily property operations, assisting residents, maintaining compliance standards, and working closely with the Property Manager and site team. Bilingual candidates are highly preferred , and reliable transportation with access to a vehicle is required . Position Responsibilities Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day community operations Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospects Process and manage work orders and maintenance requests Complete interim certifications and assist with affordable housing compliance requirements Coordinate with attorneys regarding non-payment and eviction-related cases Conduct resident move-in interviews and orientations Maintain organized and accurate resident files and documentation Support leasing activities, renewals, rent collection, and resident retention efforts Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, Tax Credit requirements, and HUD Project-Based Section 8 guidelines Assist with occupancy goals, resident communication, and marketing initiatives Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and record maintenance Qualifications Previous Assistant Property Manager experience is required Experience with Tax Credit and HUD Project-Based Section 8 housing programs is required Familiarity with processing certifications and affordable housing compliance documentation Knowledge of property management software required Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle required Professional demeanor with excellent resident relations skills What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who understands affordable housing operations and can quickly step into a busy community environment.
