Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer

Salary: $200,000 - 325,000 per year Requirements:

• 6+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience
• Experience designing blocks such as ADCs, PLLs, SerDes, bandgaps, and regulators
• Hands-on layout and design verification experience using Cadence, including DRC, ERC, and LVS
• Experience with CMOS and FinFET processes
• Skills in laboratory chip bring-up and validation
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with three days per week in our Boston office
• Familiarity with CMOS, Cadence, FinFET, PLLs, ADCs, SerDes, Python, and C

• Lead the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, high-speed SerDes, oscillators, and dividers
• Take ownership of significant portions of chip architecture and potentially lead design for an upcoming chip
• Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS
• Collaborate with our IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate probabilistic computing concepts into silicon
• Test and validate fabricated chips in the lab using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes

Our founders are former Google Quantum Computing researchers. We have taped out our third chip, Z1, are defining the architecture for three more, and have raised a $14.1 million seed round. This full-time Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer role offers the opportunity to shape next-generation chips and potentially lead design for one of our planned devices. We are based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a hybrid schedule of three office days per week. Compensation is $200,000–$325,000 plus competitive equity; visa transfers and new H-1B and TN sponsorship are available.
