Job Summary

Sunnyvale Gardens Post-Acute is seeking a dedicated and thorough Full-Time Housekeeper to join our environmental services team. In this evening role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, residents, and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Room Cleaning: Clean, sanitize, and tidy patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Surface Care: Dust furniture, polish fixtures, wash windows, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
• Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spray floor surfaces as needed.
• Waste Removal: Empty trash cans, replace liners, and safely dispose of biohazard waste according to facility protocols.
• Linen Management: Restock clean linens in resident rooms and transport soiled linens to the laundry area.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all infection control guidelines, chemical safety protocols (SDS), and healthcare regulations.
• Stocking: Keep housekeeping carts organized and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services (EVS) experience is preferred; experience in a healthcare or hotel setting is a huge plus.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot areas that need cleaning and maintain high sanitary standards.
• Physical Ability: Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30-50 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Reliability: Consistent attendance and ability to work the Wednesday through Sunday evening schedule.
• Communication: Ability to read product labels and follow verbal or written safety instructions in English.
