What You ll Do

• Collaborate with pediatric providers to evaluate patients and determine whether surgery is necessary
• Provide preoperative, operative, and postoperative pediatric surgical care
• Manage and perform pediatric surgical consults, with consults largely originating from the Pediatric Emergency Department
• Provide rounding for patients the locum provider has admitted
• Respond to after-hours emergency consults with defined call-back/response expectations
• Support weekend surgical consults as needed
• Coordinate clinical decisions and care planning with the broader inpatient and outpatient teams

What You Need
Required

• Board Certified pediatric surgeon
• Experience providing pediatric surgical care across a range from newborns through teenage patients
• Ability to provide timely emergency consult responses (per assignment expectations)

Preferred

• Experience in emergent pediatric surgery consult environments (ED-driven consults)
