Pediatric Surgeon Locum Tenens Opportunity Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment with a well-established pediatric surgery practice in Richmond, Virginia.

Coverage Dates

June , 2026
August , 2026

Practice Details

Pediatric surgery practice caring for patients from newborns through adolescence
Clinic coverage Monday Friday
Shared inpatient and call responsibilities
Epic EMR

Schedule

Clinic: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Night Call: Monday Friday, 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage

Responsibilities

Outpatient clinic and surgical consultations
Rounding on admitted patients
Weekend surgical consults as needed
Emergency Department consults (approximately 0 2 calls per day)
Low-volume emergent surgery program
Average patient volume: 0 4 patients per day

Call Requirements

15-minute maximum callback time for emergency consults
30-minute maximum response time

Requirements

Board Certified Pediatric Surgery
Active BLS Certification
Active PALS Certification
Active Virginia license preferred
