Mid-Level Provider (APRN/PA)We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Provider (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)) to join our dynamic healthcare team! The APRN/PA will collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, participating in monthly hospital on-call coverage, and traveling locally to practice locations as needed. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an APRN/PA to join our team and support our mission.Essential Duties:Provide care to gastroenterology patients by developing diagnoses, establishing patient care objectives, noting changing conditions and needs, providing treatments and services involving disorders and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and collaborating with physicians.Develop patient care plans by reviewing patients' medical histories, documenting physical and psychological conditions, and influencing social factors, conferring with family and friends, developing a diagnosis, and defining interventions, schedules, and timetables.Provide patient education on disease processes, treatment options, medication administration, and preventative measures.Assist in performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies with gastroenterologists.Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) system.Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and dieticians to ensure holistic patient care.Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environments by following infection control procedures, medication administration, storage protocols, and controlled substance regulations while adhering to professional, legal, and organizational policies.Improve job knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.Other duties as assigned. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
