STARTING RAT OF PAY IS $25 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THERE DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES YOU HOLD. THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL ROLE, A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE. Here’s What You’d Do Responsible for completing repairs and maintenance on an extensive fleet of specialized trucks and heavy equipment used for snow and ice removal. If your resume does not show verifiable Mechanic experience; your Application WILL BE REJECTED - make sure ALL your mechanic work experience is on your resume. Applications without Resumes WILL BE REJECTED. Responsibilities Repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including wheel loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers, agricultural tractors and much more. Repair, maintenance, and annual inspections of on road vehicles and equipment including semi-trucks, semi-trailers, class 8 salt trucks, municipal plow trucks, and one-ton pickup trucks. Maintenance and repair of industry specific items such as snowplows, salt spreaders and brine equipment. Qualifications Five plus years’ experience in diesel mechanics Mechanic Certification (state, ASE, or from a technical school) preferred but not required Welding & Fabrication Experience Knowledge and understanding of both hydraulic and air brake systems Understanding of hydraulic systems and plumbing Diagnostic skills with strength in electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues Ability to read and understand electrical circuit diagrams Proficient with computer (scanner) for diagnostics Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401k contribution Overtime pay #J-18808-Ljbffr BrightView Landscapes
