Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, assist surgeons and anesthesiologists, and coordinate equipment, supplies, and staff
- Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative phase and support patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatments
- Prepare patients for surgery, including safe anatomical positioning and appropriate pre-procedure checks
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices
- Document care in the electronic health record; access facility information systems as needed for patient care
- Demonstrate knowledge of environment-of-care principles and contribute to efficient intraoperative workflow

Requirements
- Active RN license in California or state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- One year of previous full-time experience in the operating room required; at least two years of recent nursing experience overall
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
- Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) and Epic experience preferred or required per assignment
- Ability to work in an operating room setting and to follow established perioperative criteria
