Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) in San Luis Obispo, California. Travel assignment starts 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 539 to 551 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 16-hour days. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital operating room.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room during surgical procedures; assist surgeons and anesthesia team
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
- Prepare patients for surgery, including safe positioning and preoperative assessment
- Safely operate and manage OR equipment, supplies, and instrumentation; assist with tissue handling and specimen labeling
- Support pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing plans and patient assessments per department criteria
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; document activities and access facility information systems as needed

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: One year of prior full-time operating room experience required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; CNOR preferred
- OR-specific competencies: Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience required; able to circulate and participate in perioperative care
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment; schedule rotation and call requirements
