A rewarding career while making a difference! Responsibilities This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and homelike environment for individuals in our community programs. Duties include all elements of household maintenance, such as patching, painting, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, tiling, electrical work, general HVAC, snow removal, and grounds work as needed. The Maintenance Support will be required to remain on‑call (rotating) for emergencies, complete assigned jobs within a reasonable amount of time, assist others in performing various duties, and maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. Maintenance services will be performed in our group homes located throughout Dutchess, Ulster, Columbia, and Westchester counties. Salary Salary is commensurate with education and experience. With HS Diploma/GED: $20.00 - $21.40 per hour With BA/BS: $21.00 - $22.47 per hour With MA/MS or higher: $22.00 - $23.54 per hour ASCEND – the First Career Accelerator Program This program is exclusively designed to give behavioral healthcare workers the career guidance, one‑on‑one coaching, skills and financial assistance needed to reach their full potential. Waived if you can demonstrate five (5) years of experience in building maintenance in an institutional setting. Experience : One year of maintenance experience required. Some knowledge of carpentry, electrical, or plumbing is required. Physical Requirements : Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other controlled substances. Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, and lift 70 lbs or more for extended periods.
