Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Travel RN – CVICUContract length: 26 weeks. Start date: Hard start on 11/16. Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required every other weekend.Average daily census: 24 patients in a 28-bed unit. Ratios: 1:2 (days/nights/weekends). Orientation: 12 hours. No call requirement.Active California license.Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required.Cardiovascular experience, including open heart and balloon pump/IABP.Post-cardiac surgery experience preferred.Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and in-person courses for VIP, MAB, or CPI.Advanced EKG skills and competency required.Conduct dysrhythmia interpretation and advanced EKG monitoring.Provide ventilator care and suctioning (ETT/NT).Manage arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines.Administer IV therapy, including insulin protocols and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips.Administer blood products and interpret ABGs.Deliver post-cardiac surgery care, including TAVR and pre/post-cath interventions.COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). Submission requirements include references and required certifications. EKG testing required prior to or at start of the assignment.
