Features Reporter of The Xavierite - Student Employment

Summary The Features Reporter is responsible in assisting the Features Editor in providing Entertainment stories for publication in The Xavierite. The Features Editor is responsible for producing one to two entertainment stories for every issue of The Xavierite. Skills Professionalism: Students build professionalism by practicing dependability, accountability, confidentiality when applicable, workplace etiquette, and respectful service in a workplace setting. Teamwork: Students build teamwork skills by collaborating with supervisors, staff, and peers to support department goals, assist others, and contribute to a positive work environment. Technology: Students build technology skills by using department systems, software, digital tools, equipment, or university platforms to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Communication: Students build communication skills by practicing clear, respectful, and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in a workplace setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Produces one-two articles per week Attends general staff meeting Meets weekly with Section Editor Maintain weekly-posted office hours in The Xavierite office (4 hours per week). Assists with the layout of the section Writes a wide variety of creative and entertaining articles pertaining to their assigned beat. Ensures that The Xavierite website has up to date material to be posted Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
